Chapter 265: The Clash (2)

The roar of the F-22 Raptors could be heard down on the ground. “Finally,” Eppa shouted. 

Firestar optics narrowed. She tracked the other Raptor. She saw it had violet-tinted wings. "Something is wrong," Firestar said. She looked closely and saw writing and markings. “That is Cybertronian,” she said. "There is another one! It's a Decepticon," she added. 

High above, the unidentified Raptor banked with impossible agility. The sky suddenly fractured as the Megajet roared alongside it. 

“Die,” Goddess Starscream said as it deployed a series of underside rocket pods. With a series of thunderous, he unleashed a localized swarm of seeker missiles. The heat-seekers went through the air and towards the Raptors. 

“Raptor 01, break left! Break” a pilot said as a missile slammed into his engine.

The sky erupted in a series of violent, orange fireballs. The Megajet followed up with its nose-mounted kinetic cannons. The round pierced the fuselage and exploded in another fireball.   

Goddess Starscream then pulled a sharp turn until she was right behind the last surviving Raptor.

"Found you," Goddess Starscream hissed as he fired another missile and hit the jet. The jet erupted into a fireball. It lost control and spun wildly and crashed into a skyscraper in a massive ball of fire.

The Megajet  was being chased by a Raptor. The Raptor fired a missile. The Megajet flew straight up and dived down. It fired its kinetic cannons that chewed through the air. The heavy rounds hit the Raptors with enough force to turn the titanium frames into dust.

The pilot tried to eject, but the Megajet was too fast. It swerved, its wing slicing through the parachute strings and left the pilot to fall to the ground. 

Lennox watched in horror as their air support vanished in a matter of seconds. "Our birds are down!” he shouted. “I repeat, air support has been neutralised!" he added. 

“Captain, one of our men is falling,” Donnely shouted. 

They looked to see the man tumbling down. 

“He is going to die,” Sam shouted.

Elita-1 saw him falling. She ran forward and jumped in the air. She raised her hand forward and caught the falling pilot. “I have you human,” she said as she landed on the ground with a big thud. She then put him down. 

The pilot wobbled away. Epps and Lennox quickly rushed forward.

At that moment, Shockwave took a step forward. His single optic locked onto Elita-1.

"Hyper-Blast," Shockwave said as his singular eye began to pulse with a menacing crimson light before erupting into a concentrated red laser. The beam hissed through the air and went towards her. 

"Lunar Blast," Moonracer countered instantly. She raised her high-velocity rifle and charged the power cell until it hummed. She pulled the trigger and unleashed a glowing projectile that streaked through the air toward the incoming red beam.

"Ignis Stream," Firestar added as her forearm plating slid back to reveal a glowing red cannon. She fired a continuous stream of thermal energy. 

The two attacks collided with Shockwave's laser in a violent flash of light. The energies canceled each other out and resulted in a massive explosion that filled the street with a thick, grey smoke cloud.

Through the haze, Jazz surged forward and closed the distance. His forearm blades extended. He lunged and swung his blade across Shockwave’s chest plating with a shower of sparks. The heavy Decepticon staggered back.

"Elita, we’ll take care of him," Firestar shouted as her cannons were still smoking.

"We will avenge our fallen comrades," Moonracer added as the two of them rushed forward to back up Jazz.

“May the Primes be with you,” Elita-1 said as she looked up and saw Goddess Bludgeon mid-air with his sword raised. He brought his sword down. Elita-1 quickly dodged that attack and rolled away. The blade was inches from hitting her. 

“You are a fast Auto-bot,” Goddess Bluegeon said. “But you cannot run from me,” he added. 

“Who is running,”  Elita-1 replied. “You have slaughtered countless of my friends, of my allies,” Elita-1 added. “I will avenge them all,” she said. 

“Try your best,” Goddess Bluegeon said. 

Jasmine came running forward. “I am here as well,” Jasmine said. 

Lennox checked the pilot. “He is okay,” he shouted. “Take him to safety," he added. 

“Captain, there is a Samurai robot here,” Epps said as he held his rifle. 

“Then let's take him out,” Lennox replied. 

At that moment, the Megajet came down for another. He pointed his nose towards Elita-1, Jasmine and the soldiers and came diving down. The cannon started to fire and bullets came raining down.

“He is doing another run,” Donnely said. 

Lefi saw the Megajet coming. She jumped high in the air and swung her fist. She punched the Megajet which got hit. The metal was destroyed instantly and the Megajet went crashing down to the ground. There was a loud thud as it hit the ground. 

“How did she jump so high?” Epps questioned. 

“Rockets,” Donnely replied. 

Lefi landed on the ground and looked at the jet. 

“Thanks Lefi,” Jasmine said as she turned her attention to Goddess Bludegon. 

“Tis no trouble.” Lefi replied. 

At that moment, the Gigatank rolled up next to the Megajet. 

The two of them started to shake. At that moment, Megajet wings folded inward and its nose cone split to reveal a complex network of internal hydraulics and the broad, armored shoulders of a titan. Below, the Gigatank fractures down its center, the heavy treads rotated and locked in to form massive, stable legs while the turret rotated to become a fortified pelvis. The jet torso slams down onto the tank chassis. The two independent machines locked together with a thunderous metallic boom. 

Standing at the center of the battlefield, the combined form of a large Deception. His massive frame was a striking contrast of the tank’s heavy blue armor and the jet’s sleek black plating, with the jet’s cockpit now serving as a prominent, glowing chest piece. He had a stoic face with piercing red optics and a powerful build. He was armed with a diverse arsenal ranging from the tank’s long-range cannons to the jet’s rapid-fire lasers, “Overlord here,” Goddess Overlord said. “You are a pain,” Goddess Overlord said. 

“Him,” Elita-1 said in shock. “We need Optimus,” she added. 

“Dont worry, Lefi will be fine, she is strong,” Jasmine said. 

Elita-1 thought Overlord was a menace. He could fight head to head with a Prime. However she believed in them. She thought back to Optimus who taught her to believe in her friends.  

“Okay,” Elita-1 responded as she looked at Goddess Bludegon. 

Meanwhile, Megatron looked at Musubi and Death who had dodged the aerial attack from earlier and recovered. They stood in front of Megatron. “Who are you both?” Megatron asked as he got up. “How can you face a Deception like this?” he questioned. 

“I have been training to get the strongest,” Musubi said as she got into her battle stance. 

"Aroused Incineration," Yuuki said as she thrust her palm forward and unleashed a torrent of violet pyrokinesis. 

Death saw this coming. "Killing Spin," Death said as he twirled his massive double-bladed scythe like a propeller. He deflected the stream of fire towards the building. 

“I did not see that coming,” Musubi said. 

“There will be a lot you don't see coming,” Yuuki said as she stepped forward. 

“Take care of them,” Megatron said as he ran forward. 

Death watched as Megatron retreated. He thought Optimus would soon arrive to deal with him. He turned his attention towards Yuuki and Marcel. 

"Yuuki," Death said. "What are you doing here?" he asked. He thought this had to be the same Yuuki they met during Highschool of the Dead. 

"I am here to take you down," Yuuki responded coldly as the bio-organic armor of the Witchblade pulsed. 

"The Witchblade," Death whispered. He thought that was an incredibly strong weapon. He thought where did she get that. 

"I will prove my worth to her," Marcel added. "And I will do it by defeating you,” he added. 

"Then you will have to go through me," Musubi declared as she stepped forward and dropped into a low, aggressive fighting stance.

"Musubi, be careful," Death warned. "He has the power to change to a Titan at a moment's notice,” he said. 

“Like that other guy from before,” Musubi replied. She gave a sharp, confident nod. "I will not let you down, James,” she added. 

Death nodded. He knew Musubi was strong. With a sudden burst of speed, Death lunged forward. Yuuki leaped back dodging his scythe. She jumped back with a smile on her face. James pursued her into the ruins of a nearby building.

Meanwhile, Saeko stood her ground as the shadow of Megatron loomed over her. The Decepticon King roared as he charged toward her with his fusion cannon raised. Saeko sprinted forward, her katana drawn and ready.

Pathetic, Megatron thought as he looked down at the insect daring to challenge him.

But before he could strike, Rei leveled her Sliquifier and aimed low. She pulled the trigger, and a thick stream of glowing purple liquid hissed from the barrel. It splattered across the asphalt, and instantly formed a frothy, bubbling pool of frictionless slime.

Megatron’s massive metal feet hit the puddle and lost all traction. His optics flared in surprise as he began to skid uncontrollably.

Saeko slid beneath his guard and sliced cleanly through the cabling of his knee joint. A jagged shard of Cybertronian metal flew into the air as the joint buckled.

"How?" Megatron growled as his massive body slammed into the ground. He looked up at the humans standing before him.

"That was good thinking, Rei," Saeko remarked. 

"I’ve always got your back," Rei replied. 

At that moment, Miura stepped out from the shadows of the wreckage. He looked at Saeko. 

"It’s been a long time since we last crossed paths," Miura said with a cold, mocking smile spreading across his face as he leveled his sidearm. "You should do yourself a favor, surrender now, or die where you stand,” he added. 

Saeko didn't say a word. She simply narrowed her eyes. Her hand tightened on the hilt of her katana as she gave him a murderous glare.

Meanwhile, Tsunoda charged in from the flank like a wild animal. He caught Rei off guard and tackled her into the dirt with a heavy thud. The impact sent the Sliquifier skidding across the asphalt, well out of her reach. Her M4W was laying on the ground.

"I've got you now,”  Tsunoda hissed.

Rei gritted her teeth and slammed her boot into his chest and kicked him off with enough force to send him stumbling to the side. “Get off me,” she said as she scrambled back to her feet.  She looked at her weapon. 

"You've got a hell of a kick," Tsunoda spat as he wiped the dirt from his face. 

“Why are you here?” Rei asked. 

“To kill you all for her,” Tsuonda responded. 

“Kill them,” Megatron shouted as he charged forward towards Sam.
