Chapter 274 274: Wang Ming Persuades Elder Tang!

Wang Ming gritted his teeth, his heart surging with murderous intent at the mere thought of Qin Long. His face still bore a faint bruise, and though it wasn't obvious, he couldn't swallow the insult. He was the young master of the Wang Family, a first-rate family in Jiangzhong. Every other young master and lady gave him his due respect, yet he had been repeatedly beaten by Qin Long.

I have to find a way to get my revenge.

"Old Master, I actually thought of a way to drive Qin Long away today," Wang Ming began, intending to reveal his mother's plan.

"Young Master Wang, there's no need to trouble yourself," Old Master Tang said, his tone clearly annoyed. "Xuewu told me Qin Long has been performing very well, so I have no plans to send him away for now."

But Wang Ming had to see his mother's plan through.

"Old Master, what if I told you there was a secret concerning the Aixue Group and Qin Long? Would you be interested in hearing it?" Wang Ming asked, deliberately glancing around with a cautious expression.

Upon hearing this, Old Master Tang immediately put down his teacup, his interest piqued. The Aixue Group was a super-conglomerate in Jiangzhong. Their strength, influence, and bold, decisive style made even the "Iron Lady" Zhao Ruoying's Yaolong Group seem a bit inferior. They were definitely not a group to be underestimated.

"What secret does Qin Long have with the Aixue Group?" Old Master Tang asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

"Old Master, the secret between them is a big one," Wang Ming teased, seeing he had the old man's full attention.

Old Master Tang's heart skipped a beat. Qin Long had managed to snatch the reservation for the Longquan Grand Hotel right out from under Wang Ming.

If Qin Long really knows the leaders of the Aixue Group, then marrying Tang Xuewu to him might be worth considering.

"How could that be?" Old Master Tang's eyes widened in shock.

And here I was thinking Qin Long had a good relationship with the leaders of the Aixue Group…

Now, Wang Ming's words had completely shattered his assumptions.

"Old Master, I specifically hired a detective," Wang Ming said, his expression turning extremely solemn. "It took a great deal of effort to find this out. Do you know why the Aixue Group refused to print the Tang Family's electronic contract last time? President Liu believes that since the Tang Family took in someone as morally corrupt as Qin Long, their virtue must not match their status. That's why President Liu said our family's character wasn't up to par and refused to give the Tang Family a three-year contract."

Old Master Tang clenched his jaw, falling silent as he sank into thought. It was obvious he believed Wang Ming's findings. To the Tang Family, Qin Long had always been a massive burden. Because of him, the family had become a laughingstock in all of Jiangzhong. In a fit of anger, Old Master Tang himself had banished Tang Xuewu from the main family compound, revoking her privileges as a member of the main household. For the past three years, on his own orders, the rest of the Tang family had mocked and ridiculed her and her parents.

And now, the Aixue Group had turned against the Tang Family because of that good-for-nothing cripple!

"That damn waste of space," Old Master Tang seethed, growing angrier as he thought about it. He slammed his hand on the table in a fit of rage.

For three years, the Tang Family's reputation had suffered because of Qin Long's presence. Tang Xuewu had been dragged down by him, losing a golden opportunity to marry into a prominent family. Old Master Tang had originally planned to leverage Tang Xuewu's marriage into a family collaboration, one that would have allowed the Tangs to soar to new heights. However, Qin Long repeatedly thwarted his plans. And now, because they had offended President Liu of the Aixue Group, the Tang Family had lost its three-year contract.

In an instant, any shred of goodwill he had for Qin Long vanished, replaced by soaring resentment.

"Is your information accurate?" Old Master Tang asked after a moment, looking at Wang Ming again.

"Old Master, I went to great lengths to find this out. My efforts weren't in vain. Later, President Liu's assistant mentioned that Qin Long had apparently offended President Liu by bumping into him and speaking to him rudely. The exact reason isn't clear, but I know that Qin Long introduced himself as the Tang Family's prospective son-in-law and told President Liu to just wait and see."

Wang Ming deliberately slandered Qin Long with his fabricated story.

"So, the Aixue Group really did blacklist the Tang Family because of Qin Long?" Old Master Tang gritted his teeth, feeling intensely irritated.

"Old Master, you're an old hand at this. You can surely see the reason. If it wasn't because Qin Long offended President Liu, what other reason could the Aixue Group possibly have for rejecting the Tang Family?"

Wang Ming's words sent Old Master Tang back into deep thought.

That's right. That has to be it. The Aixue Group was willing to work with small workshops but wouldn't give the Tang Family a chance. There had to be a reason.

And Wang Ming, as the young master of the Wang Family, would have access to reliable information.

"However, the Aixue Group also sent a message that they would never cooperate with the Wang Family. What's the reason for that?" Old Master Tang looked at Wang Ming, voicing his confusion.

"Old Master, everyone in Jiangzhong knows how devoted I am to Xuewu," Wang Ming said with a helpless expression. "I've even damaged my own family's interests in my desire to protect the Tang Family that raised her. So, in the eyes of the Aixue Group, our two families are already one and the same…"

Old Master Tang instantly understood. "So you're saying the Tang Family is dragging the Wang Family down with it?" he asked, his expression turning sour.

"Old Master, I would never say such a thing!" Wang Ming quickly replied. "Besides, the Wang and Tang families are destined to be joined by marriage. We'll be one family sooner or later, so how could you possibly be dragging us down?"

This piece of flattery instantly soothed the old master's temper.

"Young Master Wang, what's your plan? Just say it," Old Master Tang said, getting straight to the point.

"Old Master Tang, I've already bribed President Liu's personal secretary. I'll see if I can find a way to smooth things over. But I assure you, with me, Wang Ming, here, I will definitely help the Tang Family regain its face! And if any difficulties arise, our Wang and Tang families will face them together."

Wang Ming read the room perfectly. Every word he spoke struck a chord with Old Master Tang, leaving him deeply gratified. It was no wonder he thought so highly of Tang Chuchu and Tang Yuxiang.

"This old man thanks you, Young Master Wang."
